| Adam is a writer and his sign is Pisces. He cannot sleep and often wakes pacing the floor because of fear. He is filled with anxiety from the same dream he continues to have. The dream has bothered him for weeks and he wonders why he never mentioned it to Jack. He fears it is his own subconscious mind for not being able to tell Jack his lover and mate, that he can’t have Jack the way he desires. Jack is also a writer, and he is Adam live across town and spent hours on the phone, and sees each other every other day. Adam is gay, Jack is straight, but Adam loves Jack much more than a friend. Jack knows Adam is gay and that doesn’t bother him. When Adam hears of Jack’s dates, it bothers him wishing he was the one with Jack. A horrific nightmare prompts Adam to call Jack who rushes over. He tries to console Adam and in the process the two discover a secret, Adam never dreamt, but will it be enough to keep them both happy?
Kate Steele always amazes me. She forms characters to create dynamite reads. I like the way she made Adam so very real with some of his fears. The part with the showers and Jaws, not to mention the night light, it all made Adam sincere. He and Jack make a friendly refreshing pair. Hot Flash: Dream of Me is a well-developed read that entertains and has the reader feeling something for Jack and Adam. Sizzling hot, and a page-turner, this is one story that takes the reader on a heated ride.
