| Nina Rozek’s fortieth birthday was not starting out well—she overslept and while rushing to catch the train, one of Chicago’s finest police officers pulled her over for speeding. Officer Alex Torres was just about the most beautiful man Nina had ever seen. The fact that he was years younger didn’t stop her from appreciating the eye candy. She looked a wreck, but he wouldn’t be looking at her like a love interest—she was too old.
Alex wished it wasn’t unethical to find out more about this lady. He hadn’t been attracted to anyone for a long time. Nina definitely got his attention. When she literally fell over his friends at a concert that night, Alex couldn’t believe his good luck. They went home together that night. Ms. Melissa Bradley has presented us with an extra hot storyline with unbelievably steamy scenes both in and around the bedroom. All their friends were okay with their age difference until it continued more than a few days. Attraction alone could not make the relationship work because, at their ages, they were at different stages of life. There was no possible way their relationship could last. This fast-paced, sensual read is great. The problems, as well as the perks, of their connection, were believable and well handled. I shed a few, okay a lot, of tears and was totally surprised at the ending. I highly recommend this book to those of you who are not faint of heart.
