| Annie Shane is a 33 year old divorcee who never really felt like she belonged anywhere. Her parents were not supportive, but her grandfather was. Until his death, Annie was thrilled with her life and love of racing. After he died, she married a man who she thought would be her soul mate. He was NOT!
She found a little house owned by an eighty-year-old man named Carl, which needed a lot of TLC. Annie had little money but a lot of energy and time. Carl related to Annie quickly and they became good friends. He sold her the house on terms she could afford. Slowly she fixed up her house to make it a little haven for her. Her best friend, Lynn Moyer, was really the only friend who followed her throughout her journey. Annie was obsessed with a race car drive of car #202, Wayne Rush. His orange and purple car, and other memorabilia, was seen throughout her home. Carl was able to read Annie’s mind and they both had a sixth sense that gave them insight into much a normal person could not comprehend. Her imminent awareness was manifested through very vivid dreams. Carl suggested a way she could channel this desire and awareness of Wayne, whom she had never met. In my opinion, this book could have shared the same information in a lot fewer words. The storyline was good and I certainly enjoyed that. However, the numerous errors distracted me greatly. This is a very unusual book for me to have read. I have never seen a plot handled quite like this one. That is not necessarily bad, just different!
