| Book One in the Blood Princess Chronicles.
Annaleigh is possibly the world's worst waitress. She works at a vampire themed restaurant called the Blood Bank but in her opinion its better than the job she had before. That one had her locked away unable to control her own life, being the Blood Princess. Leigh is the last of her royal bloodline and the Coven has plans for her life that involves Leigh pregnant with an heir to secure her bloodline. Leigh wants nothing to do with the Coven or their controlling ways but the Coven wants their Princess back and they want her back now. Nothing will stand in their way, they don't care what they have to do to get her back. Leigh will have to think hard and fast in order to find a way to stop the Coven from killer her friends and taking her back by force. This is a battle of wills, strength and determination. I like good paranormal romance and this book sounded like one I would really enjoy. Let me start off by saying that as a first book in a series, it could have been better but it was a good start and enjoyable. I love how the author made the book about more than just a vampire and human falling in love. At first I was a little nervous about that but I'm glad my fears were for nothing. There were only a few things that turned me off about this book, one was the relationship between Leigh and Zane. I can't put my finger on what exactly but their relationship was missing something. The relationship didn't seem real to me, it felt forced at least until the end. Also I found the book lacking in the history department. I felt as if I didn't know enough about Leigh to feel any kind of connection to her. Those were really the only issues I had with the book. In fact, in the second part its gets better. The series has major potential which leaves me waiting to see how everything is going to play out in the next installment.
