Jess Leonard is busy as a single dad and garage owner. He doesn't have time for much let alone a relationship. Benaiah Day inherited his grandfather's car collection. One day after having a problem with one of the cars, he meets Jess. Ben and Jess are instantly attracted to each other and they fit well into each others busy lives. The two men start to think that there might be room in their relationship, like love. First they need to overcome a few obstacles, like Jess's father and his southern pride and some past relationship baggage Ben is also carrying around.

This story is well written and flows smoothly there are no awkward stops and starts. The plot is unique and the story is thought provoking. I did have one problem with it though. This story deals with an interracial relationship, and I felt that the authors were preaching at me about racism more that telling me a romantic story. I have no problem with the color of the characters, but the subject matter of racism pretty much overshadows any real enjoyment I would have gotten out of watching the men try to overcome their differences is status and lifestyle and try to find love. The characters are well developed even though the story felt like it dealt more with Ben and his feelings than Jess and for that reason I thought the story was somewhat lopsided. It made it seem like Jess was the only one doing all the giving in the budding relationship. There are some steamy m/m situations that well written and fit well with the story. I think was a good book, but that with this subject matter would have been better off in a longer story, so as to do more justice to the characters and their dilemmas.
