Madison O'Donnell is a lively twenty-seven year old secretary who loved to make other people smile. Working as a secretary in a CPA firm leaves little time for her to fall in love, a task that she's determined to complete in the whole fifteen days before she turns twenty-eight and dies.

T. Laurence Hobbs, Madison's boss, has a plan of his own that calls for financial security, then family in a very ordered manner. He's very attracted to Madison but he's ten years older than her and believes she deserves better than advances from her boss.

When Madison starts her efforts to fall in love, T. Laurence decides to save her from the Mr. Wrong she is throwing herself at by making her fall in love with him instead. T. Laurence resists with all his logic and plans but Madison doesn't give up that easily.

I loved both the main characters and the secondary characters. All of them had a sense of humor and fun about them without resorting to overused gags. I really liked the multiple aspects that were slowly revealed as I read, the gradual introduction of flaws and strengths really helped me to feel that the characters were multi-dimensional and had life.

The story itself had multiple levels of complexity. Madison dealing with her impending death is a great simple cover on top of much more complex emotions and fears. By the end of the book I was rooting not only for the two main characters but for some of the secondary character relationships as well - and booing for another few characters.

The book had a satisfying ending and gave me the satisfactory closure that I needed for the relationships and issues that were introduced. While I wouldn't describe it as the best thing ever, I found it a very pleasant read and it kept my interest throughout.
