Dr. Jamie Randall feels an instant attraction to Sianna Trednegar until he finds out she's a Druid. Fate and a desire to help her prove her beloved uncle didn't commit suicide keep throwing them together, giving him a chance to rethink his stubbornness. Still, no matter how his heart and body yearn for her, his foolish pride refuses to accept a Druid mate until it's almost too late.

Jean Hart Stewart continues these remarkably human tales of the Druids. It seems like the men in the family all have something in common. They're handsome, stubborn and macho to a fault until they meet their mate. Even then in these well written stories, their pride is almost their downfall. In this tale I have to shake my head at times. If I were Jamie's mother I think I would have taken him over my knee even at the ripe age of thirty-three for his refusal to grow up. The character of Mama V, the family matriarch, is a much kinder soul than I might be under the circumstances!

Aiden Thomas' story, that of a young artist whose family wants him to work, giving them half his money instead of following his heart and talent, adds a lot to the book. It helps show what lengths the Druids and their friends will go to in helping others. The mystery throughout builds my curiosity and has a welcome ending as the bad guys get what they deserve.

I continue to enjoy each of these stories immensely. Ms. Hart Stewart builds excellent tales of contrast between human beings at their best and their worst. Jamie is both a cocky, egotistical, self centered man and a warm, caring, loving human being. I'm glad the author continues to show that love can win out no matter what frailties of character come with human nature!
