Devon Dellafield is busily trying to decipher one of the most difficult codes he’s ever come across. He’s interrupted by a police officer with Jocie Summerhill in tow. Little does he know on first meeting that this suffragette with spirit will change his life.

This marvelous author has done it again. Book five of this excellent series is as good as the first four. In each of these novels she has built an intense love story surrounded by a mystery.

Her Druids, the Dellafields, are again center stage. She has oldest son Devon trying to live up to the family name. He’s always refused to acknowledge his Druid nature, denying it when it tried to surface. He prefers to live the life of a carefree playboy with women falling at his feet and into his bed. As in previous works a woman with principles gets him to examine his own. Jocie is built as a much stronger person. She’s a woman with integrity that Devon may not be able to measure up to at this point in his life.

Ms. Hart Stewart writes the type of story that seems to be driven by the characters, their lives, the realities of the time she writes about. This one seems to be driven by a little touch of Druid magic that makes it flow so naturally as we read.

I don’t have enough glowing adjectives to describe the enjoyment I get from this author’s dialogue, characters and storyline. This is a stand alone read but the entire series is fascinating.
