After being requested by the Commissioner of Scotland to help in the search for his missing son, Morgan MacAfee is brought into the case with Chief Inspector Lord Laniston Dellafield. Morgan is a Druid who can read people and has visions. Dellafield is a stiff, close-minded man who doesn't believe in Druids and doesn't want the interference.

Once Morgan helps find the boy, Dellafield can't help but think she might actually have some powers and he finds himself attracted to the young, innocent woman. Morgan is also attracted to Dellafield. But with both promising never to marry can they have a relationship?

When the story beginnings you are immediately drawn into the time period with great detail about dress, demeanor, and attitudes. Morgan is a captivating character. She is very well written as an innocent young woman who deeply believes in her Druid abilities and in others. Dellafield, at the beginning, is a stubborn man with little imagination and even less patience for what he doesn't understand.

I was a little put off by the fact that the plot of the story was solved quite early on, but then another case was brought into the story line which offered another reason for Morgan and Dellafield to work together. The way their relationship grew throughout the story was quite refreshing.

There were new characters and stories introduced at a strange time, but the book was so well written that it worked and even made the story better. All of the characters where quite likable and believable. Even thought the love scenes weren't very explicit you could feel the love between the characters and the resistance they were feeling. I think overall this story was well crafted and well organized and I would recommend it.
