When I starting reading Duty Bound, I really wasn't sure what I was getting into. I have read Ms. Jackson before, but for some reason this book intimidated me at first. I'm glad that I was wrong and picked it up. From the moment I started reading it, I was enthralled. Jake Thompson is a miner who has come to fetch a woman companion for his friends. What he gets instead is a cowgirl and a companion. KC Matheson is a cowgirl who is sweet, innocent and all woman. When KC finds out that her father has lost their ranch to Jake in a poker game, she is livid. Jake decides to trade the ranch for her. Not knowing how to amuse a man, KC asks her new friend, Rosalyn to help her. What started off as a deal to keep the family ranch ends up being a journey into womanhood and sensual delights.

Ms. Jackson brings three different personalities together and each one of them learns from the other what each person needs. The chemistry between KC and Rosalyn is instant and tender. KC is confused about her feelings for Rosalyn and the things that Rosalyn is teaching her. Rosalyn, on the other hand, is a very confident woman in how she teaches KC and to tells her not to be ashamed of her feelings and desires. Jake thinks he has hit the jackpot with two women but soon realizes that he only wants one of them.

Ms. Jackson doesn't shy away from the desires and sensual delights between the two women. While descriptive, its not graphic. Its very loving and tender. The scenes between the three of them are also tender and loving. While Jake feels remorse toward KC after their first coupling, he soon realizes that he has to have her again.

When they get to the cabins and Rosalyn is introduced to the couple as the companion, the tension ratchets up a bit. KC realizes that she doesn't belong there and is willing to leave. Jake and Rosalyn have other ideas for her. I normally don't read anything with f/f in it but this book has made me think a little differently about it. Ms. Jackson does a great job at separating the emotions of the two women and that of Jake and KC.

I highly recommend Duty Bound for anyone looking for a great sensual read on first times, new learning experiences, exploring your own needs and wants and a good dose of a hot cowboy. I look forward to the next book in this series.
