| Carol Horn couldn't believe her mother was dead. She had lived with her and now Carol, her brother, Rusty, and sister, Sarah (with their mates) were sitting together in the church they all loved. She was alone—she should be used to it. Finally, a man entered and sat directly beside Carol on her pew. He couldn't understand why the pastor kept calling the woman "Vera" when his aunt's name was Mary.
Luke Peters was in the wrong church, but his connection with Carol was unforgettable. He was called to intern as assistant pastor of The Town Church in Turtle Creek, Wisconsin. He was able to renew his attraction to Carol. Neither could have foreseen what would happen when serving the Lord was more important than their relationship. Ms. Robin Shope has, once again, surpassed expectations with this inspirational book. I was amazed—and shouldn't be—that she can deliver such detail and fascinating work without sounding "preachy.” The main characters were obviously attracted to each other. However, the twist in who was most determined to follow the Lord's leading was refreshing. These two dynamic characters were so believable. They captured my interest and refused to let go. This book had many people involved in this storyline. They each played a pivotal part in the outcome of this work. I warn you not to expect a "cookie-cutter” ending. The way this book concluded was fabulous. This book also reintroduces us with others from previous books from Turtle Creek. I highly recommend this book, in addition to the others in the series, to everyone. It is the type book which would interest all age groups. I look forward to seeing any other books from this town. The storyline was remarkable and kept my attention throughout the entire book. Great job, Ms. Shope!
