Julianne Hunter was taken by her fleeing mother from the Blackthorn Estate when she was only four years old. She has had no contact with them since. She made her living as a model, supported her do nothing husband, and lived in the fast-track. Then her husband slashed her face with a razor, leaving terrible scars, and she went into recovery for cocaine addiction.

When she leaves rehabilitation, now clean, she discovers her money is gone and her grandmother has been paying for her hospitalization. Her grandmother wants her to come home, and Julianne doesn't know what else to do.

Anlese welcomes her happily. The same cannot be said of the dark and moody Morgan Saint-Evanston who controls the estate. The handsome man is as cold as ice, and she is more than a little afraid of him. What was her mother running from? That evening she dies, but Morgan and Anlese save her life through her grandmother's witchcraft and the power of Morgan, an immortal.

There are not many books that just knock your socks off, but ECHOES OF ANGELS knocked mine off, and I have been barefoot ever since. It is beautifully written, beautifully plotted, the language is exquisite. I may do something I haven't done in a long time, read a book over again just for my own selfish pleasure. Echoes of Angels gets Five Hearts for sure!
