Eden and Gervase were lovers when they were young until they were cruelly torn apart. Eden ended up marrying an old man and getting abused, and when he dies she is a wealthy but barren widow. Gervase goes into the military, and tries to forget the woman he loved. When his brother Gideon calls him to come over for dinner, he doesn't expect to see Eden there. The fire is still there, and they fall into each others arms. Will their passion be enough this time? Or will they be torn apart yet again?

There is a lot of sex in this story, as a matter of fact that seemed to be all there was at first. Gervase is a typical alpha male, strong and always right. Eden is a surprisingly forward for her time, and quite adventurous. I found it odd that they stayed away from each other for so long if their passion was that strong, and had a hard time believing that they would. Really, if he loved her that much, wouldn't he have at least checked on her? That's the biggest problem I had with this story, and I didn't think that Gervase was a very good hero because of that, and Eden seemed a little self centered as well, although in the long run she had every right to be. I think that this story could have worked in any time period, because it focused on the relationship and not so much what was going on around it. Eden's Pleasure is a good read for those who like historical romances with a lot of spice.
