| When Arthur's mother takes a small vacation around Christmas time, she asks her friend to let him stay with her for the holidays. She's not so sure that's something she wants to do, but says yes. The problem is her boyfriend is coming home after a two month absence, and they had plans for long nights of love before he had to leave again. When Arthur gets to the house, he confides to her that he's had a little problem with prematurely going off. She decides to let her boyfriend Micky explain to him how to get around that. After all, he's great with her! to When Micky gives him a few pointers, they find out that he's a quick study, in more ways than one.
Educating Arthur is an interesting short story. It's set in England, and written in the first person. It switches back and forth between Micky and his girlfriend, their thoughts and feelings. They both set out to accomplish the same goal, and I found it interesting how differently they both went about it. Micky is all man, with the attitude to prove it. His girlfriend is bubbly and playful about sex and all it entails. The sex in the book is hot and there is definitely a build up to the end.
