| Eleanor Preston is a hard working graphic artist who keeps her life in
control. Preferring designer pants and jackets that hide her backside,
Eleanor also hides her long red hair in an elegant twist. So when her
friends finally convinced her to put on a pair of jeans and join them
for a night out at a local nightclub "The Mating Place", Eleanor is sure
she won't enjoy it.
Justin Collins, co-owner of the Mating Place, is a laid back guy who prefers the entertaining and having a good time parts to the daily grind of paperwork. Although his silent partner Dave usually handles that side of the business, Justin is constantly bailing Dave out of the trouble he gets himself into for his sexual escapades. Expecting just another night helping out at the bar, Justin is floored when he sees the type of women his dreams are made of, a redhead with a great rear, come into the club. Spotting his chance to rescue Eleanor from the unwanted advances of a jerk in a Stetson, Justin gets to know her dancing to Shania Twain. Instant chemistry explodes between them. But can two people get past all their differences and insecurities to make a relationship that is more than just lust? A truly fantastic book that will have you laughing out loud. Ms Kelly and Mr. Carpenter are superb writers separately but together they have written an incredible novel. This is a heated tale but the key to what makes this novel a standout is the realistic relationship between Justin and Eleanor. Built around the development of their relationship, Ms. Kelly and Mr. Carpenter believably bring to life the feelings and anxieties of both Eleanor and Justin. You will not be disappointed in this one and will be waiting with me in eager anticipation for the next book from this outstanding partnership.
