| Owen Horn and Sam Delgado are opposites in many ways. Sam has money, is a Republican strategist. Owen works for the Democrats, is secure in his job with his party winning the election. The two do have one thing in common.. Away from work and their public personas their battles fade to lust, maybe even love.
Pepper Espinoza writes a timely book about two men from opposing campaigns who may both win on election night! Their personalities, though opposite in many ways, offset one another nicely. The dialogue between them as they debate, argue, look for ways to zing the other is a big part of the fun the author puts into this. As the two men let their hair down and start talking more we get a lot closer look at them as people. I like the way Ms. Espinoza maintains their maleness in their speech and actions. She doesn't make either more feminine or weaker than the other just because they're gay. Men can have insecurities too and the author manages to convey that without changing their strengths. This is a great read by one of my favorite authors.
