| Marey has been fighting her feelings for Sax for a long time. She's been determined to stay away from relationships ever since her disastrous marriage to her ex-husband. Besides, her crazy ex might hurt any man that she gets close too, and she's just not willing to take that chance, especially with Sax.
Sax has waited for Marey to come to him for a long time, and he's tired of waiting. When she has a run in with her ex that puts her in the hospital, he's not going to wait any longer for her to come to him, he is going to come get her. He's worried that she will get killed or hurt, and he just can't stand by and let that happen. In Bound Hearts 6: Embraced, I like how Marey is made out to be a strong person that has been worn down by her mad ex-husband, instead of a weak person. Sax is an Alpha male that has tried to abide by Marey's wishes, but when she gets hurt he can't stand back anymore. There is some bondage and anal sex in the story, so it isn't the romance for the faint at heart. I was a little surprised that the story felt a little rushed, and I didn't feel that Marey and Sax had the kind of chemistry that I am used to seeing in a Lora Leigh book. It's still a great book that grabs your attention and holds it, and another excellent installment to the Bound Hearts series.
