| To Samantha, Michael’s job was taking her place in his heart. He never seemed to want to spend any time alone with her anymore. It even had her contemplating getting a divorce. When Samantha’s friend, Wicca, who just so happened to be a love therapist, suggested that they trick Michael into spending a night in Love’s Castle, things begin to get interesting.
The Enchanted Castle by Anita Verwerk is a highly erotic short romance with a paranormal influence. The two main characters are clearly developed. Samantha feels her husband does not love her anymore because he never has any time for her. She is obsessed with sex and the fact that she is not getting as much as when they first married leads her to believe the marriage may be over. Michael is concerned about making a living. He is spending a lot of time working. When he is at home he is exhausted the last thing on his mind is making love. When confronted with a wife that doesn’t understand he accuses her of being childish. He seems very uncaring of his wife’s feelings and at times seems to want to drive her away. Neither character seems to understand the others feelings or want to compromise. The story takes the two characters and places them in a castle full of erotic art along with a witch using lust inducing potions. The love seemed to be left out of the story although their lusty relationship is restored. The story is filled with many explicit scenes describing sex in graphic details. The Enchanted Castle is a paranormal romance filled with highly erotic scenes but seems to be missing the romantic element. Readers that enjoy reading about sex in it various forms may find enjoyment reading The Enchanted Castle due to it explicitly graphic described scenes.
