Cyn is happy with her job and has come to terms with her overprotective brothers. She even has Rio, her lover, when he's in town. Rio has reached a point in his life where he wants to be more than a long distance love affair – he wants a future with Cyn. Only he realizes she isn't ready to make that kind of commitment. Seduction is the name of the game and Rio applies himself to the task by making some life changing decisions. He moves to Aurora to be with Cyn all the time, takes a job with a local security company, and tries to show Cyn that he can be the man she needs. However, the town is plagued by a serial killer and his victims look dangerously like Cyn.

I've read Entangled by this author and really enjoyed it so I had high hopes for Endangered. Endangered had great characters, the hero and heroine as well as the supporting characters, namely Cyn's brothers and both Cyn's and Rio's coworkers. Cyn and Rio's personalities were well written and understood given Cyn's abilities and Rio's lack of, and how that disparagement was perceived by Cyn's family and coworkers. I thought the book moved rather slowly with a lot of the focus on the sex between Cyn and Rio. I realize the reason behind this, however, I wanted more of a romance and we didn't get that until closer to the end. The action seemed forced throughout the book and didn't really make the story flow smoothly. I did enjoy the action scene when the serial killer was discovered because that's also the turning point in their relationship, even though it doesn't occur until the very end. I've enjoyed books by this author in the past and hope her future books hold my interest better than this one.
