| Jack really needed to get away from the world so he bought a mountain. He hesitates to share it with anyone but gives in to the request of a friend to let his aunt share it to write her book. Abby and Jack are drawn together at first sight. But an intruder is with them on the mountain, threatening, stalking.
This is an excellent novel. Ms. Cain writes hot, hot erotic scenes. She throws in a little mild bondage and mixes it well with an escape-from-reality interlude for a ménage. She builds a great mystery so we really don’t know for sure who the intruder is until the very end. The love story itself is built slowly, bit by bit until it explodes in a burst of sexual energy that’s a lot of fun. The characters are well drawn, each one painted with a brush that makes them seem real from the Sheriff of the small town, the friends they make, to the PI they hire to help them solve the mystery of who’s threatening Abby. One blurb says this is Ms. Cain’s first novel. If she’s already this good I can’t wait to read more.
