| Liv Erichsen is aware that only a fool would marry her and all she could hope was for spinsterhood. Everyone believes her cursed, with two of her fiancés dead. Her plan is to stay away from all men, unless she chooses to seek out a lover...
That is when she meets Mason Davidson, a womanizer and a liar. Liv is everything he wants in a woman: strong, beautiful, wild and with a hint of mystery. But could she find new love? Could he be the one to break the curse? This book could be easily called "Unraveling the Black Bride". It's a dark story at heart with a mystery line underneath and great characters. Love and laughter appear as hope to a happy ending. I liked this book overall, but everything happened a little too fast by the end and I had a hard time following what was going on. Perhaps the problem was that it started slow and suddenly the author wanted to answer all the questions to this mystery and write a closure using one chapter, therefore it ended up faster than I hoped for. That made the ending succinct. While she could've developed it far more and I feel like it wasn't a great closure to the amazing story she build. I had fun reading this book and enjoyed the funny moments and unexpected scenes! I'll also admit that I was surprised with the true nature of the secondary characters. They were great!
