| Paul is a country boy, happy in his country lifestyle. His lover Max, has stars in his eyes wanting to make a name for himself on stage in the city. Paul lets Max go, and over the next twenty years they see each other just a few times. Those few visits and and letters are all that they have. They each have affairs with other men, but none of those relationships work. Paul especially is growing lonely but he keeps hoping that Max will come back to him. The love that they share doesn't end and eventually they must make a decision. Will they love each other enough to find their way back again?
Enough To Let You Go was a book that showed the various layers of love. Paul kept hoping that Max would come back and Max wanted Paul to come to the city. They had twenty years of loneliness with a few visits which allowed them to have extremely graphic sex, but not enough time together. The sexual encounters that the two men had was so hot that I would have loved to be there. Paul was a character who seemed to step off the pages of the book. Max was a more selfish character, but he seemed to truly love Paul. The plot was a bit lumpy, much like Paul and Max's relationship. As I read this well-written book, I wondered if they would ever be able to work it out. I found their other relationships to be sad and hoped that somehow Paul and Max would find people to love. The story was a story of gay love which is not appropriate for those who object to such a lifestyle. Ms. Okati has an uncanny ability to tell her story and draw the reader into that story. She has done it once again. I think that you will enjoy this book very much.
