Rhett Porter has come to Montana stalking a killer. AJ is there with ten people she is escorting for her fledgling business Escapade For One, an adventure club for singles. They meet when AJ is bathing nude in a stream outside of her cabin. He is watching her with delight, when he hears a rustling in the bushes. AJ hears it too, gets out of the water, puts on her shirt and leaps onto a rock. Rhett calls for Oliver Reading, the murderer, to come out. AJ is startled and falls into the stream. Rhett fishes her out and takes her back to her cabin. She is furious with him, and wants him to go away. She's not sure there really is a bad guy out there. And then, things get interesting.

In the cabin, they find a rabbit, hung up and gutted and dripping blood. Right away AJ is convinced there is a bad guy. It occurs to them both, who is stalking whom? And now it starts to snow. Rhett stays to help her, and by morning, they are snowed in. All of AJ's clients are city people and they want to go home. Somehow she has to get them all down off this mountain. With Rhett's help they begin, but soon one man falls into a deep hole and breaks his leg. Things are not getting better. I don't dare say anymore, except that the excitement builds, the sexual tension builds, and you just can't stop reading.

I have heard it said that there are no more alpha males in romance. Wrong! Rhett Porter is the perfect alpha male. Or should I say he is the perfect male? He is handsome, brave, kind, gentle. A touch stubborn, but what perfect man isn't? AJ is a strong woman who has been an abused wife and has extracted herself from the terrible situation to start her own business. She tries from the beginning to discount her attraction to Rhett and he, because of feelings of guilt, does not want to be attracted to her or any woman. Watching them both change and grow throughout this story is delightful. I do hope you enjoy Escapade For One as much as I did!
