| Marrisa Orlando finds herself and her neighbors about to lose their apartments when a new contractor takes over the building to make it into condos.
The story opens with Marrisa stuck in the old elevator with a handsome stranger - who little to her knowledge is the new owner of the building. A bit nervous about being in closed spaces, the stranger starts a conversation keeping Marrisa's mind off being in there. Lee Roman listened to Marrisa's story of how many of the tenants in the building were on fixed incomes. Others had been there for years, never dreaming that this young woman would become the Joan of Arc for them and a stubborn woman who would find her way into Lee's heart. With the tenants offering to redo their own apartments and have that as a down payment on the new condos, was a wonderful solution, yet it almost cost Lee his business. A businessman with no heart is what Marrisa had called him. Little did she know he had a heart and it belonged to Marrisa, if she would have him. A short, cute romance that is for the romantic in all of us. I think readers will enjoy it.
