| Kiros is known as the Spawn by the fey. He has struggled to stay alive most of his long and lonely life. One of the Guardians has ordered his death because part fey and part were, he should not exist. Eve has survived the death of her family and the desertion of her fiancé. She now puts all of her energy into her lingerie design business. One night her friends literally force her to go out and she meets the most beautiful man she has every seen. Kiros ends up sitting next to Eve at the bar after repulsing a pneumatic blonde and something about her makes him very glad. He has finally found his mate, but unfortunately now the assassins are now after her as well.
Though the author has created very memorable characters in Kiros and Eve, the plot can be very confusing. The politics between the weres and the fey are never fully explained, nor are their powers and limitations. I was never fully sure who the Guardians were or what the Corridor was. There is plenty of excitement and action and the love scenes are numerous and very erotic, so there is definitely much to enjoy in this tale.
