| Mayhem and Maddie Madison Blake joins a support group for divorced women when she can't figure out how to adjust to her newly single life. Before she knows it, she's made three fabulous friends and she's enjoying herself at a karaoke bar none the less. She's also met a sexy man wearing a bunny suit. Can Maddie finally move on? In the first story we are introduced to four fun and fabulous ladies. These women are easy to relate to and come alive with every word. Maddie is a strong character facing a challenging time and I love that she got the support she needed. Cole should be grateful that he met Maddie and not me because there is no way I would have ever gotten over the furry bunny suit. The love scenes were smoking and so descriptively detailed that I almost wanted to search the internet for a cuddly convention near me. This was a wonderful start to an alluring series.
Maxie's Man Maxie is the divorcee closest to my heart. How could I not want this spunky woman to get her very own happy ending? I felt almost as protective of her as Kellen, who is one sexy alpha male. I was enthralled with his history and loved how he never lost his roguishness. He seemed able to charm the panties off a nun and I'm so happy Maxie was the recipient of his expertize. Amazing how appealing this man can still be after his karaoke gig. Even though the lead couple spent a good deal of their time in her bedroom I still felt a deep emotional connection. This was a wonderfully sexy and funny story and expertly dealt with a grave issue.
Kinky Katy I love the 80's so I knew I was going to enjoy this story. After all who doesn't love jelly bracelets, spandex, Madonna and big hair. Admittedly I didn't really get to see much of 1983 besides Katy and Garret's bedroom. Fairy Godmother Tallulah might very well have been my favorite character in the entire series and I'd love to see more of her. Most people love the idea of the chance to go back and change our history or revisit the past in order to make our future smoother and I have to say that I would love to have the opportunity. It was engrossing watching calm Katy embrace her kink.
Maddie Got Run Over by a Reindeer This was such a fun holiday treat and I love how humor was used to handle Maddie's very realistic fear. Once again the interaction among the group of friends is so solid even in such a brief scene. Darwin was hilarious and Aloysius has everything it takes to be a memorable leading man. I'd love to see Al and Karen get their very own adventure. I enjoyed the little break from the "normal" stories and I looked on this story as my very own holiday gift.
Vicky the Vixen Kale was my favorite hero in this series. How can you not fall for this laid back vampire surfer dude? He's perfect for Vicky, he cooks and she cleans and they soften each other's rough edges. He's such a wonderful mixture of strong and sweet. I loved that we got to finally see beyond Victoria's barbed tongue in this installment and see into the reasons she is so uptight. Of all the divorcees, Vicky's is the history I wondered about the most. I love that although she overcame her compulsions enough to enjoy herself with Kale she did not become miraculously cured. This was a charming collection about a fantastic group of women and the men they eventually come to love. The stories contain something for everyone; paranormal, humor, vampires, time-travel and plenty of steamy love scenes. I spent so much time chuckling at the antics of the Divorcees Anonymous ladies, especially the witty banter. How could I not giggle at all the karaoke action? Having all of these stories in one place makes it easy for me to read them all again and again. This author is permanently on my must-read list and this series proves why.
