Erika has the capability of reading others thoughts, which has been advantageous in her career. She has an immediate attraction to Jack, with his Scottish burr being the first thing she hears before meeting him, before seeing him, and loving the sound of it. She senses that he is attracted to her, though fighting it, and is having herself serious symptoms of lust whenever she is near him...and then she realizes that her feelings are rapidly turning into love, past the point of simple lust. Many friends and family believe that Erika and Mark will eventually marry, not knowing that Mark is gay, and that it is important for him not to be "outed" for more reasons than one. Mark falls into serious lust with a detective he meets during one of his cases, and this leads to a dramatic turn of events in his life, in both his and Erikas lives. He finds that it is time to get his life into order, in more ways than one. What happens next makes for a great story...

This tale is very well written, with a developed plot, well thought out characters, and the suspense is carried very well throughout the story. I found myself really disliking nasty Mirabel, wanting to smack some sense into Jack and rooting for Mark to be happy. And Niall sounds like lots of fun...
