Morgan is closer to her father and though her parents are still together the marriage leaves little left but the name. Charles has had a mistress for some time and it's been a good eighteen years since he has even come near Hannah.

The first day on the ship Hannah meets Lukas Pertorious, a handsome gentleman who deals in diamonds, a family-owned business. He is immediately attracted to Hannah and she soon finds the attention enticing. As their friendship grows, Morgan feels her job is to bring an end to it. But is there a dark secret that Lukas is hiding from Hannah? And what about the young man who has found an interest in Morgan?
