| Twenty one years ago, Luke Madigan witnessed the serial killer dubbed the Eye Doctor, for removing and taking his victim’s eyes. He’s never forgotten the woman’s face; he sees it nightly in his dreams. Now he’s seen the face on the man most likely to become the next vice-presidential candidate. Its not enough evidence for the police, but it is enough to get him killed. He is bewildered by meeting the woman to change his life for, a woman of the forever kind, while in the middle of this dangerous situation, but he can’t afford to pass on the love of his life.
Ellery Winters becomes the aid of the next vice-presidential candidate of the United States because she’s told he is responsible for her mother’s death. She was recruited by some government agency to get close and investigate the candidate. If he should discover her true identity and her real reason for taking the job, will she be fired or murdered? Ellery swore she’d never marry or be involved in a serious relationship with a man. Her body’s reaction to Luke is making her rethink her position. Maybe, if they can stay alive long enough… This book is an amazing read. It is extremely well written with a to-die-for plot, literally. The characters are so well developed they become our intimate friends and the reader is invested in their welfare from the beginning. The sexual tension builds to monumental heights before culminating in an almost physical relief for the reader when the couple finally consummates all that sexual heat. The suspense is intense throughout the long book, but the pace is fast enough one doesn’t notice the length unless looking at the page numbers. The several storylines are complicated but written in a way that is effortlessly followed and, even while several important secondary-characters force their own agendas, it keeps the reader’s interest aroused and immersed in the rich plot. Don’t miss Eye Witness.
