| Nicky Bryant is known for his flamboyant, egotistical ways and as one of the reining stars of haute couture fashion. However, being at the top of your field requires sacrifice, specifically a private life. So what's a lonely guy to do? Enter Jonas Hunter, an older, exclusive, and discreet male escort. Jonas is also at the top of his game and more than able to satisfy Nicky's needs. So what's a guy to do when a simple solution to a basic need becomes an essential requirement of your life?
This is the first book I've read by Ms. Owens. The story's concept was intriguing enough that I plowed through. However, it was difficult to connect with Nicky and Jonas at the beginning of the story. They mostly have very hot and interesting sex with little development as individuals. Nicky is exasperating and childish as dictated by his professional persona. Jonas is distant and reserved as required by his profession. At times it was difficult to understand what was concealed behind their personal facades or if they were as one dimensional as they appeared. The story while, fast-paced was slow in the development of Nicky and Jonas beyond their stereotypical roles. This made it difficult to connect with Nicky and Jonas but eventually, they develop into more substantial characters and grow on you. The minor characters in the story play a part in the characters' romance and help the plot move forward. They are occasionally more intriguing than the main characters. The plot is simple with no unsuspected twists. It's just a love story about two flawed people who find love in an unusual situation. While atypical, their story will make you angry as well as make you smile and hot! By the end of the novel, you'll come to appreciate their unique relationship and enjoy the extremely interesting sexual situations they encounter!
