The challenges that these characters grow through are enough to keep the pages turning. Josie and Kyle are people ready for more intimacy in their lives, but afraid of being hurt. Playing games and challenging each other allows the vulnerable sides of each to be explored in a thorough way. The chemistry between them burns hot off the pages. The erotic play is not for the faint of heart and is tastefully done. What I enjoyed was the development of the characters trust in each other. Through care manipulation Haynes brings out the best in Josie and Kyle. Josie has the ability to be a hard woman, but with Kyle's patience and care she emerges as a graceful one instead. If vivid, enticing and sexy fun are what you crave, then this is the book for you!
