She grew up in an orphanage. Faith had no family until she married Jack. When Jack, his brother and his Dad were all killed in an accident, Faith decided to stay with her mother-in-law, Dulcie, forever. Her sister-in-law, Olive was going to marry again after one year. The entire apartment occupancy was evicted. Faith moved with Dulcie from New Mexico to Colorado to be near her sister. She found a job at a nursery working for a godly man named Ben.

Ben was actually Jack’s cousin. Neither of them was aware of the family connections. In fact, in the beginning Faith didn’t even realize he was the boss. Ben noticed her work ethic and her mannerisms. He was attracted to her, but he took things very slowly. He admired her and how she tried to save even the plants scheduled to be destroyed.

Ms. Merry K. Stahel has written an emotionally charged book based on the Book of Ruth in the Bible. Her main characters mirrored the actions of Ruth and Boaz and Naomi which has always been my favorite. That might be one of the reasons I loved this book so much.

This fast-paced book is a perfect tool to reward your love of reading for an afternoon. Stahel created a fabulous storyline that is appropriate for any age reader. I highly recommend this book. She is definitely on my “must-read” list. Kudos, Mr. Stahel!
