| Jordan Sumner barely survived her mother poisoning her, but she did because an angel intervened to cure her. Now she's ready to tackle life, and live it to the max. First, she plans to get a tattoo then see what other possibilities the new town she's moved to holds. Yet the moment she walks into the tattoo parlour, there's something very familiar about the man that she wants to do her tattoo. Could it be he's the very angel who saved her? Somehow she thinks it's possible he could be.
Gabriel Wilder somehow knows the beauty that walks through the front door of his tattoo parlour, but for the life of him doesn't know where from. He has no recollection of his past, and certainly doesn't remember the moment he rescued the beautiful woman from dying. Yet loving and saving her is the very reason he's a fallen angel. Fallen is an emotionally humbling read that captivated my attention from the beginning and kept me enthralled until the last word. Both of the main characters pasts were written to perfection, and I liked how Jordan embraced life seeing as she'd been given that rare second chance. Because it sounded like she wouldn't have lived on her own if the angel hadn't of saved her. While with Gabriel, I liked how this author penned him as an angst-ridden fallen angel with a shadowy past who felt he had nothing to offer a woman. Yet that all changed when het met Jordan and it became clear that he couldn't live without her. The playful dialogue together with the strong plot was what made this book such an excellent read. The secondary characters, other fallen angels and friends of Gabriel's were great also, pushing Gabriel and Jordan together because they could see they were right for each other. As for the attraction between Gabriel and Jordan it was immediate from the moment she asked him for the tattoo, and the sex scenes were hot enough that is was lucky my e-reader didn't catch on fire. And lastly, this is a refreshing start to this new series by Karen Erickson and I can't wait for the next installment.
