Familiar Pleasures is an engaging paranormal, part of the Autumn Animalia short story series, with strong characters, a super hot ménage, and an interesting setting. Aysa is an independent young witch, wanting to find a special familiar and seeking her animal companion farther away from the village than most wander. Savant and Sunder are sexy and magical. Savant is a warlock who rescued a snow leopard from death. By the time Sunder revealed himself as a shape-shifter they had bonded and fell in love. Savant and Sunder are committed to each other and have found ways to satisfy the leopard spirit within Sunder as well as each other’s needs. But the men found they longed for a mate to complete their home. They realize as soon as they find her that Aysa is the perfect woman for both of them. Ms Strong is great at creating characters who are intriguing and likable, as well as hot love scenes. The only drawback is that the entire story is only one short interlude and it seems more like the opening for a longer book. The pace flows quickly to the conclusion and leaves you wanting more! I hope there will be further stories about Savant, Sunder and Aysa and their world.
