| Bernadette Reeves is as a nurse who is frustrated because her son Tayler's mystery illness isn't getting any better. During yet another doctor's visit, she runs into Dr. Marc Fonteneax who takes charge of her son's care while setting off feelings in her she's not so sure she wants to fight.
Marc Fonteneax takes it in stride when he finds his mate in the hospital one day. Finding out that her son is a sick Were only makes his protective instincts kick in harder. But when Tayler's absent father decides he wants him back for less than fatherly reasons, Marc is pushed to find a way to protect his new found family. For those who have followed the Montgomery family series, this book is full of familiar characters that move the plot along. The secondary characters become a strong element themselves in the book and people familiar with the series will enjoy the interactions among them. This sometimes leaves the story between the main characters a little crowded as the author attempts to ensure that all of her characters have a voice. While it can be read alone, you will find it much more enjoyable if you have read the previous books in the series. I have enjoyed the entire series. This book was not only a great read but brought back all of my favorite Montgomery family members. J.J. Massa has written a great love story that has managed to include all of the great characters from her Montgomery Family series.
