Jack Dunlevy is the cop that ends up coming to investigate the dead homeless man in the building. He finds himself attracted to Crystal and is willing to help her with the children. Things quickly heat up between them and the case. Thieves, drug dealers, and kidnappers add to the trouble they find themselves faced with before the mystery can be solved.

Family Secrets is an exciting action filled romantic suspense. Readers will find themselves caught up in the lives of these compelling characters as they face one adversity after another. The story has a realism readers will appreciate. It shows the characters reacting honestly with each occurrence. These are not perfect people. They argue and cry and bring the story to life for the reader.

Suspense builds as more people begin to show up dead and their apartments are ransacked. Who is doing these things and what are they looking for? The characters find themselves just trying to remain safe as they do not have a clue to what is happening. Readers will wait anxiously to try and piece together the parts of a puzzle and solve the crime. They will want to jump ahead and find the answers, but don’t!

Wait for the exciting action filled conclusion when all will be revealed. It is definitely worth the wait.

The chemistry between the characters in the story is wonderful. Crystal may not have been prepared for motherhood but she steps right up into the role wonderfully. She has to deal with two rowdy boys that some times like any mother will have her wanting to scream. Her difficulties though never out weigh the obvious love and affection she feels for these two children. Her strength and need to protect them is admirable and readers will be able to identify easily with her emotions.

The romance is beautiful. Jack is the type of man that falls easily into lust. But with Crystal the feelings are stronger. He wants her body but he also wants her heart and soul. These two throw sparks anytime they are together. Through all the danger and suspense around them they find a passion that tries to burn them alive. Scene after hot sweaty scene describes them when the children are asleep and all is quiet. They learn quickly to take advantage of the time they have to be together. These steamy erotic scenes will leave the readers’ hearts racing.

A fast paced smooth flowing storyline will captivate the readers. The surprise ending is thrilling. This is a definite must read and I highly recommend it to the readers. So be sure to add Family Secrets by Jamie Hill to your reading list, you’ll be glad you did.
