Everything there is to love about erotic romance is wonderfully captured in this adventurous novella. There's plenty of delicious hot sex, characters who melt your heart and heat up your libido, a creative plot line and well-written encounters -- in and out of the bedroom. In another author's hands, the violent scenarios depicted in this book might be gratuitous or hard to stomach. Ms. Michaels, however, keeps the sensationalism to a minimum, and instead focuses on the characters' emotions and the very real consequences of what two days of captivity can do to a victim. Kira is intelligent, compelling and healing slowly from the ordeal she's endured. Jerrod is just the type of man she needs to help her put the terror out of her mind. He's sensitive, passionate and patient, willing to let things develop at their own pace. This exquisite, emotional story captures the meaning of trust and love and translates it into a page-turning reading experience. Trista Ann Michaels is an author to watch.
