Regina McNeill enjoys her bi-weekly get-togethers with her four best friends - even though their adventurous natures are in sharp contrast to her more conservative self. When the group starts a program called "The Fantasy Fix," in which they set a different member up each time with a man guaranteed to fulfill one of her wildest fantasies, Reggie is exempted because she has a live-in boyfriend. But when she dumps him for cheating on her, the other girls decide its high time she indulged herself. Reggie tries to thwart them by thinking up fantasies that should, by rights, be impossible to fulfill. She never imagines that a real vampire might be available, or that he might just be the man of her dreams!

Dmitri Vidame agrees to accompany a friend to a "Vampire's Ball" at a local nightclub. The pretentious, black-clad wanna-be vampires there depress him, and he wonders what he was thinking…until he spots Regina in the crowd. He feels an immediate, powerful attraction to her, and vows to make her his. Regina, waiting to meet the mystery date her friends have picked out for her, is only too happy to leave the bar with this tall, dark and handsome stranger. When she finds out that he has some mysterious mental powers - namely that he can read her mind and move things without touching them - she is frightened, but he is just so compelling that she overrides her hesitation and gives in to lust.

The love scenes in this book are sizzling, featuring mild S & M and spanking, and some descriptions of biting and blood drinking; they are not overly gory, though. Regina manages to be submissive in bed without giving up her spirited personality, and Dmitri, although definitely a strong man, does not come across as a jerk. The author is to be commended for creating such balanced characters and depicting the bondage and other spicy sexual acts in such a fun, erotic way. She titillates her readers with the book's sensuality without losing the romantic feeling. This is a great, fun read!
