This was a ferociously erotic read. The overall story was appealing and I loved the paranormal aspects of the tale. Flame is a hero come to life and I couldn't help but fall in love. Devoni is a wonderfully strong plus-sized character who makes no apologies for the woman she is and the sexual appetite she has. I have come to expect scorching sensual scenes from this author but I did find the anal play to be excessive for my taste. The plot lagged a little and I would have enjoyed exploring the new breed of paranormal characters more fully. I'm anticipating the follow-up, Endless Love.
