This mini anthology begins with Finding Justice. Jacob, a widowed judge, has reached a crucial point in his life and career where he is faced with a life and death situation that may involve more people than he knows. Struggling with his decision, he meets and is instantly attracted to a mysterious blind woman. Unbeknownst to him, she is actually the goddess Themis, who is unwilling to allow the foreseen tragic consequences of a wrong choice happen without a fight.

After helping Themis find true love, Apollo gets a second (or third) chance at love in Embracing Destiny when he encounters the reincarnation of his lost loves Daphne/Cassandra. But to find lasting happiness, he has to understand and accept the changes in her... while dealing with his raging passion for her.

The attraction between the protagonists of both novellas was scorching and though the sex was rough and rowdy, there was a sweet and tender undertone to both the relationships. Finding Justice was the stronger addition to this anthology as Apollo’s tale left me with the sense that his story was yet unfinished and of wanting more! Houston has seamlessly intertwined Greek mythology and contemporary erotic romance, and also touched upon serious issues such as the ethics of capital punishment, whilst giving us poignant and very passionate tales of second chances at love.
