| Quinn has secretly admired an extraordinary statue in the museum for a long time called Faustina. The woman has a commanding presence about her that seems to draw him to the statue like no other. When he thinks no one is looking, he decides to go up to the statue and get a better look. When he wraps himself around it, imagine his surprise when he is catapulted back into ancient Roman times as a slave on an auction block. Even worse, Faustina has bought him as her own personal pet.
Faustina is a woman who is bent on her own pleasure, and cares nothing for the slaves she owns or how they are treated. She gets new slaves all the time and quickly tires of them. Quinn is nothing but a new toy that she will quickly grow tired of, but while he amuses her she will make the most of the entertainment. I selected this story because I thought that it sounded unusual, as well as very short. There aren't many books out that have men as submissive, so I thought it would be interesting. While it was different, I wouldn't really call it a romance. There is a LOT of sex in this story, most of it is what Faustina and her slaves do to Quinn. It really doesn't seem like he is emotionally involved at all, although to be fair it said that he liked it. I am used to having a lot more feelings mixed up in the romances I read, and this one had little or no relationship in the story. The sex in the story is well written and has plenty of variety, if that's what you are looking for. Faustina certainly gives no quarter to Quinn. There is one person in the book that is attracted to Quinn in a positive way, but it isn't the main focus of the story. If you are looking for something unusual that doesn't have a loving romance in it, then pick this one up, you won't be disappointed.
