Egypt 30 BC, Kiya, a young slave girl was fetching water at the outskirts of the city of Meneion. As she gazed across the land she witnessed a horrible sight. The Romans soldiers rode into the city and not killed everyone, raping the women before they killed them. Kiya knew her only hope was to remain behind the cliffs to save her from the fate she witnessed below. It was then that her foot shifted and attracted the attention of a Roman solider. The chase was on and the young girl ran across the sands trying to find a place to hide from her fate. She ran through the tombs and came to the temple of Taharqa who was considered to be the god of vengeance. Legend says he wanders the valley at night still seeking vengeance. The young girl bowed her head and prayed Taharqua would hear her plea and accept her offering for disturbing his temple. Just then a Roman solider grabbed her and he along with the others were about to have their way with her. Suddenly from the bowels of the temple a loud roar was heard and the ground and rocks began to shake. The Romans ran for their lives as Kiya lay on the slab of stone that she was about to be assaulted on. It was not long before the light of the living world was blocked forever and Kiya was in total darkness. Suddenly a figure came toward her and gently picked her up and carried out of the temple and down several stairways. Here she was a humble slave girl in the presence of Taharqa who tended her wounds and ended up having the mate he has searched for all those lonely years.

She gave herself freely and willing to this god and forever she would be the mother of his kind, the felidae who are able to shape shift from human to cat at any given time.

The decedents of this union were many over the centuries and Tabitha Fenwick was one of those. She had been instructed in the duties and traditions of her family, but she had found that the coupling of humans was interesting and she had found the human she wanted to spend her life with, her boss Brenton Calder. Calder was a handsome man, a bit of a rogue yet he had something that intrigued Tabitha. She watched his sexual preferences and knew from watching the moves that she could imitate to induce the feelings in her own body. It wasn't until Breton Calder touched her and she felt his passion and lust she knew she had to make him hers.

The story has a good deal of sexual content, but it does give the reader an interesting premise of the ancient legend that is the basis of the story. Without going into a cult category I feel the story has it's merits and deserves the opinions of the readers.
