Roni’s father has always been an evil man, and when he finds out Roni is mated with one of those breeds he decides to sell her out to the men hunting the breeds and their mates. When Taber realizes that Roni is in danger he once again rescues her, knowing this time he will not be able to let her go, and determined he isn’t going to that he is making her his mate no matter what it takes. Roni realizes that she has always loved Taber and wonders if she can trust him or if he will leave her again, and this time literally holding the baby, since this is the only way that the heat that she is in will be satisfied. She will keep feeling all of these urges and intense sexual heat until Taber has successfully gotten her pregnant. Not only does she have to worry about protecting her baby, but her father has shown up, hiding and being very secretive about his plans. This is Ms. Leigh’s second book in the feline breed series and it is wonderfully written. The intense emotion that you feel when you read this book is breathtaking. You literally lose yourself in this book, and feel every betrayal, every kiss, and when Taber says “Mine” you just melt. You cannot go wrong when you purchase and read this book, you will not be disappointed. I loved this book and will be reading it again frequently.
