Emma Duprey is running from her past. She decides to take a break from werewolf life and gets a job as a dancer on The Pirate's Maiden cruise ship. She isn't going to run into any other werewolves at sea, right? Durand is also a dancer that recognizes Emma as a werewolf as he is one himself. He wants her desperately and wonders if she will accept a relationship with him and his lover, Chris. Will Emma be able to put her fears aside and learn to trust again?

This is the fourth book in the Feral Heat series and I liked it well enough. It was a departure from the first three as there is no main conflict with other werewolf packs. I sympathized with Emma because of her terrible past and I understood her need for isolation. I liked how Durand could sense something happened to Emma and didn't push her too far because of it. Chris is a interesting character and I was anxious to see his reaction about his lover wanting to be with a woman. I thought some things moved a little quickly, but it was still an enjoyable read. If you haven't read the first three of the Feral Heat series, I do recommend them even though I feel this book was a good stand-alone.
