SJ was a loner, never calling any place home. She lived in and out of hotels where she used room service because she was not much of a cook. It didn’t matter to her that she didn’t have any friends--she much preferred her Baretta as a friend any day. But her telephone rang and a voice that she did not recognize gave the code word with too little information and then hung up before she could ask what crime they had committed. Well there were other times this information was not given so SJ readied her clothes and weapons to do the hit.
All was as it should have been when she got to the victim's hotel and using her key card that her contact provided, she slipped into the bedroom where the victim was in bed fast asleep. Hmm,he slept in the nude and he was gorgeous! She had seen gorgeous men before, so what made her hesitate to pull the trigger? In the blink of an eye her victim had her encased in his strong arms and try as she might she could not break his grip! She was going to die! Dane is in a special group for the CIA. He chose this branch for a reason. Being not quite human, he and others like him his worked as a special branch and they all ways got the job done with little risk to themselves. Once he saw Sarah Jayne, it was love at first sight and he searched throughout the files to find out more about her. Sarah Jayne did not know it but she was his soul mate and he intended to make her his chattel! Ms King has a witty and healthy imagination, using graphic details that lure the reader into her realm. The book flowed smoothly and fast that left me panting for more!
