| Kirk and Evan are a couple respectively, Dom and Sub. When Kirk decides it's time to collar and marry Evan, he gets a surprise: Evan wants a son. But not only a child, he wants a mother who will co-parent with them. When Evan calls the 1-800-DOM-help with their problem, the attendant is Sarah, Kirk's best friend from childhood and Evan's Mistress of several years in college. They both loved her and suffered when she walked out of their lives. Sarah then offered to be the mother of this child. But to realize this dream, the three need to resolve past issues and regain lost trust.
The summary of this book caught my attention and having already read another book by this author, I decided to take a chance. The story was well developed and we know the characters enough to understand their story. We know their fears and how they affect the relationship between them. I really liked the book but two things bother me. The first was the speed at which the relationship between the three characters happened. Kirk and Evan were already a couple and they each had had a past relationship with Sarah but they had not spoken for years. The last time they saw each other was more than a decade ago and in the first meeting after so long there is already a declaration of love. The other was that I didn't feel that they actually formed a menage. I could visualize the relationship between Kirk and Evan, Evan and Sarah, and Sarah and Kirk but not the three all together. But this lack of visualization can be only mine and may not be perceived that way by another reader. Overall I enjoyed the story though wish it were larger.
