Delia Jenkins suddenly takes ill in the critical stage of a project at work. Newly hired as she is she is afraid of losing her job, especially because the relationship between her and her darkly handsome new boss is somewhat strained. Her dashing colleague, however, ignores her worries of finishing the project n time and puts her in a cab headed home with a promise to check on her later on that evening. Delia's fever skyrockets and upon waking to the company of a man her illness takes a mysterious turn. But who is the man who helps her through the fever?

'Fever' can be described very much as a fantasy, or more aptly, a daydream kind of novella. The premise of the story - Delia's illness and her various and curious needs during it - are certainly events that seem far-fetched and would never take place in real life. Those of us who like our contemporary romances to be realistic will have a problem with this, as indeed this reviewer did, but if you happen to like daydreaming, by all means, this is a book you will surely enjoy and read over and over again.
