| Tisha Nichols is awakened one morning by her nine-year-old neighbor Cami, who needs help styling her hair for picture day. Jonah Glasse is frantic to find his niece gone early one morning and his anger boils over when he finds her across the street. They never imagine how their lives will change over one misunderstanding.
This novella had a little of everything; a precocious child, steamy biracial love scenes, a gossip filled beauty parlor and a nasty custody battle. The characters are well developed and the hero and heroine bring out the best in one another. I'm not sure if I really liked Tisha or Jonah as they both seemed immature when compared to the young Cami. I loved every scene the little girl was in, I couldn't wait to see what she would say next. I enjoyed how the author dealt with serious issues without making the reader feel bogged down in despair. Overall I enjoyed this quick read.
