| Trilby Elliot could not believe her luck. A Tark , ‘Sko Fighter, crash landed on Avanar while she was doing repairs to her freighter. This was just the luck she needed. The salvage of the Tark would line her pockets allowing her to afford some much needed upgrades for her old ship. The war between the ‘Sko and the Z’fharin had put a clinch on the Conclave making profitable cargo runs few and far between for independent freighter captains like herself. Salvage laws allowed that since she saw it first and no one else was around to claim it, the booty was hers, finder’s keepers! What she didn’t count on was the Z’fharin pilot she found face down in the swamp badly wounded. All Trilby wanted to do was to drop this arrogant vampire snake off at the nearest sky lane and be done with him.
Rhis Vanur Aka Captain T’var the Terrible didn’t have time to waste for Trilby to repair this bucket of bolts she called a freighter nor for her pit stop in Port Rumor to grab the cargo waiting on her. The fate of the free universe rested on his shoulders. Independent freighters are being captured by the ‘Sko and there is rumor that the Conclave is setting up a trade agreement that could mean the downfall of the Imperial Government. Somehow he had to gain Trilby’s trust and divert her flight plans or commandeer her ship! Trilby’s past comes back to haunt her in more ways than one. Her personal involvement with Jagan Grantforth of Grantforth Galactic Amalgamated left her broken hearted and targeted for kill by the ‘Skos. She not only has to find the courage within herself to help stop the Conclave from getting involved in a formal trade agreement, she also has to find the courage to love again. Strap yourselves in you are in for a heck of a ride! Finders Keepers has a strong and steady plot. It’s full of action and suspense. You could feel the attraction between Rhis and Trilby jump off the pages. The characters have depth and the personalities are easily believable. The descriptions of different battles and scenes came to life. Trilby’s street smarts and Rhis’s skilled military experience make them the perfect match. This is a must read for any Sci-Fi fan.
