| Ben's role as pack Marshall keeps him attuned to everything the pack is feeling. This, unfortunately, means he has had to feel his mate's hangovers. This is one of the reasons Ben has never claimed Dave as his mate. Dave should have been the pack alpha until he experienced his first migraine at age fifteen, when he caught his future mate with another boy. When Dave experiences an attack that sends him to the hospital, Ben finally learns he has been misunderstanding everything Dave has been feeling, but is it too late to claim his mate? As Dave has decided to Disney World Gay pride week and find himself another mate.
This was a funny and charming story. I loved it, the plot was something different, romantic yet not too serious. I also liked that she offers a bit of education on the very real problems of people who suffer from chronic migraines and doesn't down play the illness. I always like learning something new in a story. The character of Dave was great. I enjoyed how he approached life and his wonderful sense of humor. I wasn't too thrilled with Ben at first but I came around as he properly redeemed himself to me. I liked how when he realized he was wrong he was not afraid to admit and try to make amends. The secondary characters are great, apparently they have been in another series by this author, but it is not necessary to read it to enjoy this story, but it helps to give you a bit more background on the pack. There was plenty of m/m action in the story some of it was steamy and some was fun and bittersweet but they were all well written and suit the situations. I am definitely looking forward to the other books in this series.
